This Privacy Policy explains how Rally Start Timer ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Rally Start Timer iOS app and the website at rallystarttimer.codemxm.com (together, the "Service").
Rally Start Timer is designed for rally organizers and start marshals. We keep the app practical and private: your event data stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
1. Rally Start Timer app data stays on your device
Events, start lists, timing results, operation logs, and calibration records created in Rally Start Timer are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData). We do not operate a cloud account system and do not upload your rally data to our servers.
2. Information Rally Start Timer does not collect
- No user account or login is required.
- No GPS location tracking.
- No advertising identifiers or in-app ads.
- No embedded behavioral analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the app.
- No cross-app tracking.
3. When Rally Start Timer uses the network
The app may connect to the internet only in limited cases:
- NTP time reference — to compare device clock drift against a network time source before applying timing on race day.
- Purchases — RevenueCat verifies your one-time Pro purchase through Apple’s App Store using an anonymous App User ID. RevenueCat does not use the advertising identifier and does not perform cross-app tracking.
- Support links — if you open our website, privacy policy, terms, or email support from the app.
4. Purchases and RevenueCat
Rally Start Timer Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. RevenueCat helps manage entitlements using an anonymous identifier tied to your App Store receipt — not your name or email. Purchase history may be used for app functionality and purchase analytics as declared in App Store Connect. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details on their processing.
5. Exports you control
You may export JSON event backups, CSV timing logs, or PDF reports from Rally Start Timer. Once exported, those files are under your control — for example when you email them to an event coordinator or save them to cloud storage you manage.
6. Website analytics
Our website may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible) to understand aggregate page visits. This does not include rally event data from the app and is separate from the on-device app storage described above.
7. Children’s privacy
Rally Start Timer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
